Inspiring Quote

"Every artist was first an amateur."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think that this quote means that nobody can never be great at something the first time they try it but everyone should keep practicing until they are great. Your thoughts?

  1. Charlotte. This is a great quote. I think that it applies to any profession or hobby - not just artists. With experience comes knowledge and improvement. The more you do something, the better you will be at it. As the common saying goes, "practice makes perfect!" Thanks for sharing.

  2. Ms. Sonja had something like this on her wall when we were little- Every expert was once a beginner. I always loved it, so I love this one too!

  3. I agree, it shows that great artists, or really any profession, aren't just born great, they become great. I think it is very inspiring. :)
